Mohare Danda Trek 11 Days Route

Mohare Danda Trek Route starts with an adventurous ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It takes about 5-6 hours to ride through the green hills and raging rivers. Early morning start the early morning drive from Pokhara to Galeshwor. It may take something around 4-5 hours for a bumpy ride.

After some ride, we will reach Galeshwor and started our trek to Banskharka. During the walk, you will walk through stone paved stairs and tiny farming. During the trek, you will also enjoy the mountain peaks from a distance. After 3-4 hours of walking, we will overnight at Banskhara. The next morning we will wake up for the next adventure and beautiful scenery.

During the trek to Nangi Community Lodge, walk across a few fields and local communities. In the evening, there will be a setting sun repealing the white peaks. There will be fantastic sunshine over the mountains, forming yellow colour peaks. After dinner, we will have a rest and recharge for the next day.

Today morning we will have a little strenuous walk as we will be gaining 1,000 meters this day. The trail is uphill, with intervals of the flat route between the climbs. We will pass through green forests and fantastic tree lines with epic views. As we trek further uphill and downhill, we will reach Mohare Danda.

This is the highest peak with a magnificent view of Dhaulagiri Range, Annapurna Range, Nilgiri, and many more. Today we will be travelling to Ghorepani Poon Hill through rhododendron forests. You will witness lots of colourful trees, carpeted trails with leaves, and the decoration of wildflowers.

The trial connected with the Ghandruk Village. We started our hike drive in the morning to Pokhara via Nayapul. The next day, we will reach Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu.

Mohare Danda Trek Difficulty

This is a subjective question, and everybody has a diverse answer depending on their fitness level and prior trekking experience. Personally, we do not think it was too bad. That’s not to say it wasn’t hard — there are definitely difficult sections. But as a whole, it has a great mixture of both easy to moderate trails.

During the trials, you will have to climb lots of stairs for about 2-3 hours. Rest of the days the trails have a balance of uphill and flat section of trials. You will find a straight and long downhill at the trek ending, making your knee somehow painful.

You do not have to worry about the altitude problem because you only reach up to 3,300 meters above sea level. Some people may have a problem with a dull headache, but it is nothing compared to a higher elevation.

    Good to Know

    Mohare Danda Trek Weather

Nepal contains a diverse landscape with different geographical conditions. Nepal possesses all tropical as well as alpine weather conditions. So, if you are thinking of visiting Nepal, you can schedule it throughout the year. There are usually four seasons a year and fit destinations as their attraction.

    September to November

By far, it is the most popular trekking period in the Annapurna region. Hikers gather in the region to feel the clean, fresh, and energized area after the monsoon period. The weather is generally mild in the lower part, with an average temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and night temperatures remain above freezing. As you get higher in altitude temperatures, drop quite considerably.

In this month, views are generally crystal clear, rainfall is very low, and there are more sunny days during this period. The night sky is magnificent during this period, and you will be surprised to see a billion stars that appear every night in bright clarity!

    December to February

This is the coldest weather season in the Annapurna region. Depending on the altitude, daytime will be very relaxed, and night will drop below freezing. Tea houses may open during the cold winter period, and if you decide to trek during this season, you will find a warm meal and a place to rest.

The winter period commonly consists of cloudy days that obscure views. However, there are frequently crystal clear days that are often more clear than mid-summer! Towards the end of the winter, around March, you will start to see the stunning images of rhododendrons as they begin to sprout around Ghorepani. These are not missed and decorate green hillsides into red, white, and pink sparks of color.

    March to May

The colorful rhododendrons and warmer weather make trekkers attracted easily during this period. This is another popular trekking season, and the snow that bothered the route is all but dissolute on the lower parts.

April is a beautiful time for crystal clear views, especially when you blend them with the shining red hills of rhododendrons. The average daytime temperature at lower altitudes is around 10 degrees Celsius while the night usually is freezing.

    June to August

Mid-June sees the coming of the Monsoon period. We don’t recommend trekking in the monsoon season because southern parts get heavy rainfall.

But the Mustang region lies within the rain-shadow area making trekking perfectly possible during the Monsoon. While Pokhara gets 800mm of rain per month during this period. Regions like Jomsom and Marpha get as little as 50mm! You will meet a few trekkers who have the added benefit of observing all the beautiful flora species, which makes the trek particularly lovely.

Packing List for Mohare Danda Trek

Every trekking requires certain preparation of gears and types of equipment for the journey to make your trip more comfortable. It is recommended to carry the necessary and light things so that it will be easy while you are walking. The following belongings are recommended that should be brought, although we concede that our clients have their own decision for the clothing. To know what to expect in the Mohare Danda Trek, we have prepared some useful clothing & gear during the trek.
